Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?

Sign up online at Sign up, then visit a nearby library with your ID to become a full member. The mobile card is issued right after login.

How many books can I borrow at once?

Full and child members can borrow up to 10 books for 14 days. Up to 5 holds are allowed; associate members and interlibrary loans follow separate rules.

Can I renew my loan?

Items with no holds can be renewed once for 7 days. Renew on My Page or ask at a library by visit or phone. You cannot renew while overdue.

Can I receive a book from another library at my local one?

Yes. With interlibrary loan you can request materials from another branch and pick them up/return them nearby. 3 items per person; about 3-4 days.

How do I get a mobile card?

After login, a QR code and barcode are issued instantly from the Mobile Card menu at the top. Scan them at the desk or self-service machines.

When are the libraries closed?

Every Monday and public holidays are regular closings. Other maintenance/temporary closings are announced in Notices; per-library schedules are in Service Info.

I forgot my password.

Follow the guidance on the login screen to verify and reset, or contact a nearby library by visit or phone for help.

Can I use my own laptop/tablet?

Personal devices are allowed in the laptop room and designated seats. Some libraries offer outlets/Wi-Fi; use may be limited in reading rooms to prevent noise.

Can I request a book I want?

After login, request materials at Online Request. Purchase is reviewed by selection criteria and the result appears on My Page.
